Its amazing to me how a monosyllabic word can be so life altering.
Its the word we grew up hating. Its the word that can close doors. Its the word that can change things.
But what happens if we all decided to change the way we think about this tiny word? What happens if we changed our way to thinking that "the worst thing they can say is no," and shrug our shoulders? There would be no negative connotation, no anxiety in our guts -- instead, we'd think of it as a roadblock, as something we have to learn how to maneuver around.
I can say that I've often not done things, due to my fear of this word. I don't want anyone to tell me no; I don't like hearing that word. It kind of socks me in the stomach, and makes me stand glued to the floor.
But, I decided that this word can no longer be the reason why I don't pursue things. Its just a word, afterall...
